What to do…

Set in the heartland of Burns Country, the cottages offer easy access to the Burns Heritage Trail. The Tam O’Shanter Experience at the Burns National Heritage Park, Ayr is only 25 minutes away by car.

For historians, and the kids, Ayrshire has an impressive selection of castles and fortifications. Dean Castle and Country Park is only 10 minutes away in nearby Kilmarnock; Culzean Castle and Country Park (National Trust) near Maybole is 40 minutes away by car and Dundonald Castle, a recently restored ruin, is right on our doorstep.

Or why not “Island Hop!” Old Rome Mews Cottages are within easy reach of the Calmac ferries to the Isle of Arran, Isle of Cumbrae and Isle of Bute. All ideal for a great day out!
